Global Village Activities and Community Service 

The mother & 2 daughters (owners) strive to keep a product mix filled with variety.  The mix is ever-changing with at least 25% of the product from small businesses, eco-fabric and businesses that contribute a portions of their profits to chartiable organizations. 

Global Village has created and participated in many events.  The Kailua store has worked with various groups to put on private events, such as designer sneak previews, bead & clothingtrunk shows, children & adult bead classes, special promotional give-a-ways, girlfriends' night out parties.  Global Village Kailua is also an annual participant in the Whole Bead Showand the Honolulu Glass & Art Bead Festival.  The store has been featured on Hawaii's In Style television show, Midweek's style section, Honolulu Magazine, Smart Magazine, The Honolulu Star Bulletin, The Honolulu Advertiser, The Honolulu Weekly, Pacific Business News, various Japanese Magazine publications & television game show.

Global Village, makes an effort to participate in community events.  Global Village, Kailua is an active member of 'Kailua Walkabout', which happens every second Sunday of the month, and an annual participant in the 'I Love Kailua Town Party' and 'Cool Kailua Nights'.
